At-a-glance information:
| Item | Remco Dialmaster Telephones |
| Manufacturer | Remco Industries. |
| Location | Harrison, NJ |
| Manufactured | 1959-1966 |
Remco Brought out a whole series of phones, walkie talkies, wireless command centers, radios, Dick Tracy Watches, etc. One of these fun things was the Remco Dialmaster telephones.
These phones each took 2 D batteries. They came with a whole bundle of connecting wire. Almost full size, the idea was that these phones could be strung between rooms, out to the playhouse, etc.
By picking one phone up and dialing a number past 4, the other phone rings. When that person picks up, you really can hear their voice, although it is a bit on the faint side.
I have seen black, yellow and red sets, of various years. Pictured immediatly below is the older 50s set and box, and following, a set from 1964.

Other interesting notes:
The handsets of these units screw apart. If you take one apart, you will see that each set has a clear plastic bag with little metal disks inside. This gives the handle 'heft', and ensures that it will hang up the phone against the base's springs.
